Tue., July 14 — tonight. Public hearing on the eighteen-lot Hagen pasture development, city hall, 7 p.m. Written comment to Clerk Skoglund, who will read every word. Come early for a chair; extra ones are out.

Wed., July 15. Legion baseball, Post 162 at home, 7:15 p.m., under the working light. Bring a sweater for the third-base shade, which arrives in the fourth inning whether you do or not.

Thu., July 16. Ladies’ Aid, First Lutheran, 1 p.m. Quilting, coffee, and the rhubarb ledger, running, for once, a surplus.

Sat., July 18. Loon Lake Bass Tournament, public landing — fifty boats, blastoff at first light, weigh-in 3 p.m. Catch-and-release. Tim reports the bass have been notified and remain uncooperative.

Sat., Aug. 1. County fair entries close, open class, two dollars an entry at the fair office. Giant-pumpkin weigh-in the final Saturday, 10 a.m., on a scale recertified at everybody’s request.
