Read the full story →Full days. Kindergarten goes full days beginning today, thirty-one children in Rooms 2 and 3. The afternoon rest period begins this afternoon.
Picture day. Wednesday, September 16. Envelopes went home last week. The office asks that they come back before the seventeenth and expects them the twenty-fourth.
Milk and lunch accounts. Applications for reduced-price meals are at the office and may be returned any time; the office notes that families who think they are just over the line are frequently just under it.
Fall conferences. Scheduled for October 15 and 16, sign-up sheets out the first week of October. Third grade signs up fastest every year and the office has never determined why.
The Spelldown. Friday, September 25, gym, 6:30, grades 3–6. Study lists went home September 2. See this edition regarding the gym.
Bus reminder. Drivers adjusted routes over the weekend; the east-side run is four minutes earlier. The Loon Ridge Road stop moved last spring and has stayed moved.
Volunteers. The library needs two adults for Friday story time now that the school year has resumed. Mrs. Aune is in the building Tuesdays and Fridays and is not, she asks us to say, taking the desk back yet.
