Tue., Sep. 8. This newspaper. School resumes; kindergarten full days begin. Fair board postmortem, 7 p.m., grounds office. The roof funds enter year fifteen.
Wed., Sep. 9. Sunday school teacher meeting, First Lutheran, 7 p.m. All grades staffed for the first time since 2017.
Thu., Sep. 10. Volleyball at Braham, 5:30/7. Ladies’ Aid, First Lutheran, 1 p.m.
Fri., Sep. 11. Football home vs. Hinckley, 7 p.m. — first home game. Junior class runs concessions and has announced pie.
Sat., Sep. 12. GROUSE OPENER. Also Mud Lake Brewing’s first month, which the Holts are marking by opening at noon.
Sun., Sep. 13. Sunday school begins, both churches. Methodist 8 a.m. service resumes.

Tue., Sep. 15. Volleyball home vs. Sandstone, 5:30/7.
Wed., Sep. 16. School picture day. Envelopes went home last week; they come back the third week, historically.
Thu., Sep. 17. Legion banquet, Northern Tap, 6:30 p.m., meat raffle at eight. The golf league’s pencil asterisk is not on the agenda and will be raised at approximately 7:40.
Fri., Sep. 18. ABSENTEE VOTING OPENS, clerk’s window and by mail on application.
Sat., Sep. 19. Cross country home meet, pavilion course, 10 a.m. The hill is where it has always been.
Fri., Sep. 25. HOMECOMING — parade 4 p.m., coronation 5:15, kickoff 7 vs. Pine City. AND the first Doris Knutson Spelldown, gym, 6:30. Both. In the same building and the next one over. See Schools.
Sat., Sep. 26. Harvest moon. Cross country at Braham, 10 a.m.
Tue., Oct. 6. City council — the Hagen recommendation, at sixteen lots. 7 p.m., city hall.
Second week of October. Docks out at Loon Ridge; the resort closes the third week. The stop sign is scheduled for installation this month, sixty-nine years on.
Sat., Sep. 12. Also: the Chamber’s fall meeting, Northern Tap back room, 9 a.m. The candidate forum is expected to be scheduled at this meeting, which the Chamber has been asked about twice in this newspaper.
Sun., Sep. 20. Fall story time resumes at the library, 10:30 a.m. Two adult volunteers still needed.
Thu., Oct. 15–16. Parent-teacher conferences. Sign-up sheets the first week of October.
