Wednesday, 12:02 p.m. Multiple callers reported “applause downtown.” Source identified as the Daybreak Café, where the front windows had been opened ceremonially at noon. No violation found. The draft complaint received two minutes later has been filed with the applause, for context.

Wednesday, 9:20 p.m. Report of “boats going in a line, slowly, for no reason” on Big Pelican. Deputy Vang observed nine vessels proceeding at idle in loose formation, nobody leading. Determined to be the old parade, unscheduled, celebrating the air. No wake, no complaint, no action. The deputy watched from the landing until it dissolved, and logged the watching as patrol.

Thursday, 7:55 a.m. Caller reported the bench at the fish-cleaning station “occupied again, thank God.” Confirmed: Harold Aas, 81, restored under escort. Supervision of the cleaning tables has resumed. The fish caught during the vacancy have been reviewed and “held the line, barely.”

Friday, 6:40 a.m. Prints, a nosed grain bin, and one window smear reported at the brewery, Second Avenue. Identified as the bear, making rounds. Nothing gained; latches held. The Northern Tap called separately to confirm its own latch remains undefeated, information the desk did not request but has logged with respect.

Friday, 8:15 p.m. A goat was reported at large near County 6, again. The goat was gone on arrival, again. The file notes the goat and the deputy have now not met eleven times, and that both appear comfortable with the arrangement.

Saturday, 1:45 p.m. Caller reported “a crowd inside a closed hardware store.” Determined to be the Sorensen anniversary; the store had closed at two with the town already in it. No trespass; all present were customers in the larger sense. Congratulations entered into the record at the caller’s request. Entered.

Sunday, 6:35 a.m. Callers reported the second loon flying. Confirmed (see Lakes). One caller, believed to be the same resident who requested congratulations for the first flight, asked that the record reflect “the other one did it better.” The desk declines to rank loons and has logged the flight without commentary, except this commentary.

Sunday, 8:10 p.m. Report of a vehicle parked overlong at the landing. Vehicle located: the taco truck, sold out and cleaning up after its best weekend on record. Parties advised of the hour; parties provided the deputy with the last of the chips. Civil matter, resolved deliciously.
