Our View

Our View: Leave the Post Be

The current issue carries our full editorial on the Birch and Second question, and we stand by it: not every bare post is a failure of government.

We have also printed Mr. Bunde’s opposing view in summary because a newspaper should let a town hear itself, even when the town is speaking through a man who brought his own diagram.

Letters on the matter remain welcome. Diagrams must be no larger than a placemat.

Letters to the Editor

From the Mail Slot

  • To the Editor: The fourth sign would look tidy. Tidy matters. — Mrs. Ellingson
  • To the Editor: The corner works because we know the corner. Please do not improve it into confusion. — Lyle P.

Letters may be edited for length, clarity, and whether Earl can read the handwriting.
