Wed. 11:40 a.m. — A canoe was reported missing from the public landing. Located across the bay, having drifted, and returned to its owner, who said he “figured.”

Thu. 3:05 p.m. — A juvenile was observed riding a bicycle with no hands on Second Avenue. The juvenile was admired and let be.

Fri. 9:02 p.m. — Noise complaint, Pelican Point. Determined to be frogs. Frogs advised.

Sat. 2:15 p.m. — Two green Silverados at Tim’s caused a brief mix-up, resolved without incident or apology.

Sat. 10:48 p.m. — Report of fireworks west of town. Determined to be the Hagens, early, as is their way. Pete was spoken to and was unrepentant.

Sun. 7:50 a.m. — A Hereford was reported in County Road 9. It belonged to no one in particular and left of its own accord.

Mon. 1:20 p.m. — A resident reported her neighbor’s sprinkler “aimed political.” Deputies found it aimed at the hostas. No further action.

Tues. 9:35 p.m. — Report of a bear at the dumpsters behind the Daybreak. Bear had moved on; the dumpsters had not.

Wed. 4:50 p.m. — A driver reported being “tailgated by a pontoon.” The pontoon was on a trailer and being towed by the same driver’s brother-in-law, who waved.

Thu. 7:15 a.m. — Lost wallet reported at the landing was found by the caller in the caller’s other pants, per a follow-up call.

Fri. 6:40 p.m. — A complaint about “somebody’s rooster” was traced to a phone left on a barnyard ringtone. The phone was silenced.

Sat. 11:05 a.m. — Two parties disputed the boundary of a fishing spot. The fish, deputies noted, observed no boundary, and the matter dissolved.
