The Misquah Pilot-Independent is a work of fiction. Misquah, the Chain of Lakes, every soul named herein, and at least one of the lakes are entirely invented. Misquah’s exact location is, by long tradition, never quite settled. Any resemblance to actual towns, persons, walleye, or hot dish recipes is purely coincidental, and probably a compliment. © 1897–2026, in spirit.
